Police nabs five-member dacoit gang in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Capital City Police on Thursday have claimed to arrest a five member dacoit gang involved in theft and recovered the looted gold, cash and arms from their possession.
Reportedly, a woman named as Sabar Gula wife of Noor Muhammad resident of Bakhsi Pul filed First Information Report (FIR) in Khazana police station said that unidentified persons entered her house, looted twelve tola gold, ten tola silver, eleven thousand cash and three cell phones.
Talking to media, police said a police team constituted under the supervision of SSP (operations) Sajad Khan, led by SP Rural Furqan Bilal, DSP Chamkani Abdul Salam Khalid and Station House Officer Abdul Ali Khan of Khazana police station. The police arrested a ringleader Banaras Khan son of Muhammad Hashim in a raid conducted on a tip-off, further adding that identification of the accused, others companion Jamal S/o Azeem, Shakir S/o Mir Alam, Haji Khan S/o Mukarram Khan, Shahzad S/o Jameel residents of Ibraheem Abad Bakhshi Pul were also arrested.
The Police recovered looted money, gold, silver, mobile phones and four pistol along with cartridges used in the incident from the gang possession. Further interrogation continues from the arrested accused. Police added.
