PUTA expresses concern over UoP security
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar University Teachers Association president, Dr. Jamil Ahmad Chitrali on Friday has expressed concern over the security, faulty arrangements of the University of Peshawar.
A statement issued by Media Secretary Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA), Ali Imran Bangash said that after the terrorism wave in the country Jamil Chitrali has expressed concern over the security, poor cleaning arrangements in the university. Jamil said administration of the university on timely steps to give guarantee of peace and better environment to hostelize students and teachers community.
Dr. Jamil Chitrali along with PUTA executives addressed these views in annual agenda session with the newly acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammd Abid and administrative officers.
Jamil talked about closing of the campus gates, urged that Peshawar University should also mulls on closing and supervision of gates.
On this occasion, the PUTA president welcomed on appointment of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abid as VC for two years and hoped that he will solve the problems of the teachers as status of pattern in chief of PUTA under his supervision.
The VC quickly constituted a committee which for the purpose to examine security situation of the varsity. Vice Chancellor Muhammd Abid also directed to construct walls in specific areas of the university.
University Administration assured to co-operate with PUTA president on security and other issues.
