One killed, 4 injured in Peshawar suicide attack

) At least one person was killed and four others including three women sustained injuries when a suicide bomber attack judges van in Peshawar’s Hayatabad Phase 5 area on Wednesday, police source said.
Sources said the suicide bomber on motorcycle apparently targeted a judges van near Hayatabad Medical Complex. The van was bearing government number Plate (A-5998). The van was carrying a judge’s family to Hayatabad from judicial complex.
Talking to Media, Chief Capital City Police Muhammad Tahir Khan has confirmed it was a suicide attack. One person (van driver) was killed and four others including three women sustained injured in the explosion, Tahir said.
The CCPO said mostly 15kg explosive used in the attack. Police have collected body parts of the suicide attacker. Police are conducting search and strike operations in different areas of the provincial capital. Pak Army, police and other law enforcement institutions are performing duties. Tahir added.
The injured persons in the explosion were moved to the Hayatabad Medical Complex for medical assistance and an emergency was imposed at the hospital.
One of the deceased was identified as Khurseed, while the injured included Rabia Abbasi, Tehleema, Saima and Civil Judge Asif Jadoon. Rescue 1122 spokesman said.
Jadoon was travelling in a van in Hayatabad's Phase 5 area when a motorcycle struck the front of his vehicle and exploded, killing the driver and injuring the judge as well as the vehicle's three other female occupants.
The blast happened as officials from the provincial government were expected to inaugurate the Out Patient Department (OPD) at the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC). Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan along with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak and other senior party leaders were expected to attend the ceremony.
