Police officials suspended over corruption

( Chief Capital City Police Muhammad Tahir Khan on Thursday suspended two police officials of the Peshawar police on the charges of corruption, alleged links with smugglers and ordered a departmental inquiry against them, said a press release.
According to a police spokesman, the Capital City Police officer Muhammad Tahir Khan has suspended sub inspector Rakhmeen Khan of Pahari Pura police station and a constable Muhammad Khan built number 1150, on the charges of corruption and relation with smugglers with immediate effect.
The CCPO constituted a special team to probe the allegations and submit him a comprehensive report.
Muhammad Tahir Khan said strict action would be taken against whosoever was found involved in any kind of links with criminals.
The CCPO also ordered departmental inquiry against the suspended officials. He made it clear that those officials, who were defaming police force, would not be spared.
